It was a harsh upbringing, her father and believed in corporal punishment.
Her elder sister Shanna already escaped when she was 14 and Branwen 2. It was this older sister who took Branwen in when she was 14. In ancient Celtic culture 14 was the age of person becomes adult.
She lived in San Francisco and studied very hard to make up for the knowledge her parents withheld from her. Due to a high IQ she managed. And even went to the academy at the age of 17.
After having talked to a psychologist a few times to work through her on past, Branwen decided this is what she wanted. Yet she didn't choose the regular route. She knew she wanted some action as well. So she chose a combination of pilot and therapist. It meant she had to do an extra year at the academy.
Branwen now has several skills besides counselling. She is trained in combat and has a pilot's licence. So she is able to do missions in the field, yet she wants to focus on counselling.
This is her first posting and she is pretty nervous about it.
When it comes to men she is a bit naive, she also looks young for her age. Although she is a very pretty girl she has never had a boyfriend. Since she was 14 all her time was spent studying and excelling academically.
Now she is ready to look beyond and try new things. Although she will not talk about it she is not sure of her own sexual preferences.
Bran is still a little shy, she speaks English with a Welsh accent. Until she was 14 she barely knew English. Yet she is very curious and interested in people.
She is still very religious due to her bringing, and considers many things sinful.
