Sanoe was born to Earth’s premiere surfing champion and a Norwegian swimwear model approximately nine months after the “Big Kahuna” surfing contest in 2359. Her parent’s marriage was a huge “deal” in the entertainment world. She grew up in the paradise of Hawaii where she lived the blessed life that her parents fortunes allowed. Her free time was spent surfing and doing gymnastics, but as she grew to Amazonian proportions she did less gymnastics and switched to volleyball which she excelled at. Sanoe’s father wanted her to go pro as a V-baller (and she was good enough to do just that), but her mom wanted her to be a model – She was highly qualified and capable in that arena as well. Neither felt right for her. The girl affectionately called Sunshine by most of the “Beach Scene” wanted a real education, and to fine adventure in a brave new world. Her parents had the fortune and connections to send her to any school in the universe and they sincerely tried to do that. The SFFC recruiter she met at a V-Ball tourney painted her a picture of a wonderful life in the SFFC and it sounded like a real fun time to Sanoe. Against her parents wishes (which marked the only defiant move in her life) she joined up with SFFC in 2378. Like most things in her life school came easy for her. She didn’t make any Dean’s lists, but didn’t require tutoring to graduate in the middle of her class in 2381. Both her uppity roommate and “pretty boy” boyfriend wanted to “do the cruise”, and as she didn’t have anything better to do, she applied and was accepted. Truth be told she didn’t have the marks for it, but well her parents knew someone that knew someone… Sanoe got in. She graduated from the SFFC and would have been assigned to a less grandiose ship then the Galaxy but once again her parents, unbeknownst to Sanoe, used their fame to get her placed in the Galaxy’s Starfighter group. |

Sunshine does more then describes her appearance as a statuesque golden blonde model. It also can be applied to her demeanor, as an eternal optimist. Her shiny outlook on life is so bright and perfect it could easily be called naivete. She sees the best in nearly everything and everyone. Sanoe always gives a second chance to anyone that asks, and often those that don’t. She is not air headed or weak by any stretch of the imagination and given her incredible body is rarely abused in any way. She’s not an amazing pilot by any means, but she is great for morale as few can refuse to join in her boundless cup of joyful optimism. To put it as simply as possible she is a brilliant ray of sunshine that never seems to dim, and that’s before she starts to smile. |

Speaking of smiles it’s her smile that is used in most Starfleet Dental ads, a fact she doesn’t like to disclose. |
