Korr's childhood was that of your typical Starfleet brat. His mother was the Captain of the Excelsior-class Leviathan. She was a career officer through and through, but a holiday fling ended up leaving her with a permanent souvenir. He was born before officers were allowed to bring families aboard starships, so he was forced to live with his father when he was four years old.

His father was the captain of a trading ship, but as Korr got older, he realized that his father was not only a smuggler, but also a hired mercenary. This didn't really bother Korr, since he didn't really know his mother and felt more loyalty to his father. He also felt that his mother had abandoned him eve though he knew it was because of Starfleet regulations. He felt that if she had really wanted him, she could have found a way.

Korr lived with his father until his teens when he decided he wanted to be part of his father's work. This only lasted a few months. After a close encounter with some… Korr's father decided to send him to live with his parents. Citing a desire for Korr to spend time planet side, since Korr's grandparents didn't know what their son really did.

Meanwhile, his mother's ship was destroyed in one of the early battles of the Dominion War. Korr mourned her for a short time, but because he barely knew her, he found it difficult to experience the loss. A short time later, the dedication plaque of the Leviathan was found and given to Korr.

In his late teens, Korr decided to try out for Starfleet. He entered the academy, but dropped out after a year. He didn't seem to fit in, and grew restless easily. With nothing else to do, he joined the Merchant Marines. He spent two years there, but left after the same restlessness began creeping up on him. He spent most of his time alone, feeling somewhat separated from others, but covering himself with a light attitude and humor.

There was only one major relationship in his life. He was living of Risa, doing odd jobs to get by and whatever else one does on Risa when he met a young member of the Bajoran militia. Korr was caught up in the moment, and decided to move to Bajor and join the militia himself. It was not an easy task, but he was not the first off-worlder to join. His past experience (some of which was exaggerated a bit) earned him the rank of Sergeant.

Fueled by his relationship, Korr spent four years on Bajor, the longest he'd stayed anywhere since leaving his grandparents. But when the relationship ended, so did his career.

He decided to give Starfleet another shot, skipping his third year and finally graduating. All full of vim and vigor, he was assigned to his first starship… and he hated it. Using the word 'pilot' for what he was doing was laughable. Sitting at a console, pushing a few buttons and trying not to fall asleep was not his idea of a worthy job.

After putting in for a transfer, Korr was sent to the Galaxy and became one of her fighter pilots.

Korr suffers a bit from a short attention span. It's nothing too drastic, but it causes him to loose interest in things easily. He may exude passion for something when he starts, but it isn't long before something else has caught his eye. Because he never stays in one place long enough to form close bonds, he is left with the perpetual feeling of being an outsider. He covers these feelings with his humor, which can range from goofy to dry and witty depending on his mood. Korr plays himself off as a player, but he is really a hopeless romantic at heart. He falls in love on a regular basis, but it tends to be unrequited.
