Ooteed was born in the art capital of Kenara. Her father she only met on occasion as she lived with her mother for most of her life.

From a very early age the young girl was interested in art and all things related to the creation of beauty. She took sky dancing lessons as soon as she could fly, and carried a sketchbook everywhere she went. In her sketchbook she’d record the beauty around her and when she was older she turned her sketches into amazing works of art both as paintings and as sculptures.

When she turned 11 she enrolled in secondary school that specialized in developing artistic talent. It was here she first had exposure to the world outside the Fruna’Lin systems. A visiting Starfighter taking a tour of the planet while awaiting parts to refit his damaged ship noticed some of Ooteed’s art on display on the campus she attended. He inquired as to the artist and was amazed to discover that the fabulous piece had been created by a 13 year old. He “commissioned” the young Fruan’Lin to paint his nose cone with something “amazing.”

She was very apprehensive, but rose to the challenge and did an incredible job. Over the course of her time in school she would occasoinally get “jobs” to paint Federation Starfighters.

It was no big surprise that when she reached 17, that she joined up with the SFFC. Her scores weren’t that great in school, but she did what she needed to gain entry into the Crew Chief training school at Sheppard AB. Upon graduation she requested assignment to the USS Galaxy as a Flight Technician, but was denied due to her, less then stellar, grades.

Feeling dejected she applied to the USS Basilisk commanded by Captain Branson Benedict. When he saw the picture of his newest Flight Tech he recognized her as the young girl who had painted his starfighter several years before and contacted her. She remembered the Capt, as the owner of her first “nose cone” art, and appeared to be happy about her assignment but the CO of the Basilisk could see in her eyes, that she wasn’t.

After finding out where she really wanted to be, he “pulled some strings” and got her aboard the Galaxy and she will be forever grateful.

She is living proof that good things can happen to good people.

Ooteed is every bit the angel she appears to be. Her interests lie in all things beautiful. A very talented artist, sculptor and sky dancer, she is well know for her art in many forms.

Her art graces galleries across the Federation and all the proceeds go to art scholarships for children of various Fruna’Lin worlds. She is especially loved for her “nose cone” art seen on various starfighters in the fleet. Often Pilots will make a trip to the Galaxy just to have her make one of her “masterpieces” on their vessel.

Despite the attention her angelic beauty brings she is actually quite shy about relationships and to this day has only been kissed once, an event that she never speaks of but that makes her blush furiously every time she thinks about it.

Fruna’Lin generally don’t keep lineage information about their past, but secretly Ooteed does want a child and to be in a monogamous relationship, which is extremely rare for one of her race.
