Madison was born in the small farming community of Waverly Hall, Georgia in the United States on Earth. She was the 5 th of 6 children born to her parents Jeremy and Caroline Williams. She grew up in Waverly Hall working on her family s farm with her other siblings and her parents. As she grew older, she began to develop an aspiration for sciences in school. Her parents were reluctant to encourage her as they needed her help on the farm. The battles of Wolf 359 and Sector 001 had a profound effect on her attitude towards life and when she turned 16 she announced to her family that she was going to join Starfleet. She worked very hard over the next two years studying for entrance exams and trying to convince her parents to accept her decision. Upon her official acceptance to the Academy, her father told her that it was either her family or the Academy, and she with great sadness chose to go to Starfleet. Madison had no contact with her family over the next four years, except for her secret correspondence with her younger brother Michael who looked up to her as a role model, and they were not present at her graduation from the Academy. Shortly before her graduation from Starfleet Medical Academy, she received word that her father was very ill and wanted to see her. She returned home to find the entire family gathered and her father on his deathbed. She would always remember his final words to her, Maddy, please forgive me for these last years. I was just too stubborn to see the good in what you were doing. I was wrong, and I m proud of you. He died shortly after. Madison graduated from Starfleet Medical Academy in 2382 as a medical doctor with specialties in pediatrics and general medicine. |

Madison has a very friendly, southern country-girl attitude, and she speaks with a southern accent. Her upbringing on a farm makes her a very hands-on, can-do person and she doesn t mind hard work. At the same time she has a side to her that s very proper and traditional which comes from living in the Deep South. She enjoys being around people and can get very chatty. In her off time you can find her practicing her fiddle, which she is quite accomplished at playing, or listening to old country music in her quarters. She also enjoys trips to the holodeck to ride a horse (and is even more excited when she's on the real thing on Earth). While she does enjoy being around people, the time she spent cut off from her family has made her somewhat fearful of becoming very close with anyone. Afterall, if her own family could cut her off why wouldn't someone completely unrelated to her do the same thing? So far the only exceptions to this have been her younger brother Michael back on Earth who she speaks or writes to nearly every day and her best friend Auryn on the USS Relentless who she met at the Academy and with whom she found a special bond. She likes to tell dumb jokes that end up making people laugh just because the joke is so absurd. |
