The Distinguished Service Cross is awarded to an Officer who has distinguished him or herself with exceptionally meritorious service to the Federation in a duty of great responsibility. The performance must be such as to merit recognition for service which is clearly exceptional.

Members of the Fleet must have rendered at least ten years meritous service, without reprimand.

The Distinguished Service Cross is what would be described as a Major Honor. It cannot be bestowed on a character or non-player character without express permission from the GamesMaster as it is a highly prized and rare Starfleet Award.

In order to be eligible for nomination for this Award, the character must be a member of the simulation for not less than One Year. Nominations are submitted to the GM for deliberation.

A ribbon will be placed on the PC bio once approved.
