The Legion of Merit is awarded to any member of the Starfleet who has distinguished him or herself by exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements. The performance must have been such as to merit recognition of key individuals for service rendered in a clearly exceptional manner.

This is the highest Starfleet award for noncombat services.

The Starfleet Legion of Merit is what would be described as a Major Honor. It cannot be bestowed on a character or non-player character without express permission from the GamesMaster.

In order to be eligible for nomination for this Award, the character must be a member of the simulation for not less than One Year. Nominations are submitted to the GM for deliberation.
