The Grankite Hegemony was a signatory of the Original Articles of Federation. They continue to award this 'chivalric order' to Federation Starfleet personnel by their own criteria. To date, James T.Kirk holds the first ever award, with "Silver Starbursts". In 2377, the Grankite Hegemonic Assembly voted to create a new level, "Order with Diamond Novas" and award it in conjunction with the 'Silver Starbursts'. Awarded to entire class of the Wolf-359 Advanced Tactical School.

Rebecca Von Ernst was the first recipient of the 'Diamond' award.

The Grankite Order of Tactics with Diamond Novas is what would be described as a Major Honor. It cannot be bestowed on a character or non-player character without express permission from the GamesMaster as it is a highly prized and rare Starfleet Award.

In order to be eligible for nomination for this Award, the character must be a member of the simulation for not less than One Year. Nominations are submitted to the GM for deliberation.
