Simmer of the Mission

Marco

"I would like to nominate Marco, writer for Turan Trelar. The young boy scout's misadventures in Engineering are always an interesting read, creatively done, and quite humorous at times."

Shayne

You kicked ass as Cernu. :)

Pat

"The one simmer who surpassed everyone else during the crossover is, in my humble opinion, Patrick Weber. While Corran was politely pushed aside for the benefit of the interesting desert-planet subplot, Pat more than made up for it with the excellent logs as Captain Elaithin Jii and co., leading the main plot on both Miranda and Galaxy to the epic heights they reached during 'Wasteland pt. II'."

Ian

"Curran has always been an intriguing character, but in this episode we saw beneath the surface in more ways than one. The way Ian combined the ongoing subplot of his mental instability with the Counsellor Lywhyn character with the physical instability experienced in the main plot on the surface of Breen was excellent. Curran was portrayed sympathetically and engagingly."

Lori

"Lori (Karyn Dallas) - Her writing was, as always, great. I always enjoy reading anything of hers and this time around I thought it really shined."

David

“I would also like to nominate Ethan Suder (not just because he is my better half) because the man has talent and it's about time it was recognized. In his post 'The Sound of Silence' and I quote form that post,

'He turned around and looked at her. The light seemed to bounce off her lips. Her hair curved around her face and klingon head with such grace. As Ethan just looked at her, if at all possible, her slight smile seemed to wrinkle her nose even more.'

It's just the way he writes with such imagery it's breath taking. Also this is the fist time I have seen mention to his brother Lon Suder (for those of you who remember Lon was the murdering nut case on Voyager who saved the ship with the EMH, the Doctor, when it was taken over.) And I just love
it, want to see more like this. Fantastic writing.

Everyone

"I'm just trying to think if there is anyone else that jumps out at me...I think I'll just say to hell with it, I nominate the entire Galaxy crew, they are all fantastic.

And I would like this passed on, without mentioning names cause there are too many, but some of the work from the Miranda writers has made me laugh, and almost cry, fantastic writing on their part. I also like to mention that it's been a fantastic mission, I think we should have more crossovers with other sims on the Horizon group."

Francis

"Francis - Pretty much the same reasons as listed for Lori. I've always enjoyed writing with him, and his posts are always imaginative."

"Francis - For his excellent writing as the XO. However his Epilogue for the mission will stick with me for a very long time."

Stash

"Zeke Wikkins - His posts made me laugh, and they were a much needed tension reliever during this mission."

"'BigMuthah' and his absolutely hysterical piece with Zeke Wikkins and Commander Thomas. I thought I was going to literally hurt myself. His pieces are always a fun read, but this one surpassed all previous efforts. Damned funny stuff."

"Well, I think Stash did an unbelievable job. Wikkins is an awesome well put together character, and Stash knows how to use him right. I really can't say much more about that."

Dallas

From Kelly: "I nominate Dallas because the poor guy had soo many damn JP's to co-ordinate with the Hazard team that I wonder if he even wishes that he hadn't kept his mouth shut about it ;-) Especially with the sheer number of things that Claire managed to set on fire (hehe..)"

"As ever, Dallas was stellar. Corgan as a character just keeps getting better: he is the most realistically human character on Galaxy - plagued by doubts, torn by emotions. The interplay between his relationship with Tekri and his sense of duty throughout the mission was a classic Corgan dilemma which was played out very authentically. At the same time Dallas launched a new concept on Galaxy, the Hazard Team, which brings the prospect of lots of exciting interaction in the future."

"Dallas - His writing for Corgan was excellent and its been fun to watch the formation of Galaxy's Hazard team."

"I'm going to put my vote in for the writers of Savar, Tekri, Corgan. I've enjoyed their storyline and am waiting to see what the outcome will be."

Kit-Kat

"My nom for Galaxy is a tie - Robert and Kate. Both have done exceptional jobs of advancing their characters through the plot, and we've seen simply excellent material from them both."

“I nominate Kate (Kit-Kat) for simmer of the mission. I felt like her insightful and interesting portrayal of a non-traditional character really held my attention during a period where I was sorely tempted to skim due to the sheer volume of posts. Ammanalyn Lywhyn is rapidly becoming one of my favorite characters.”

“I choose to nominate Ammanalyn Lywhn. You mentioned yourself after a series of posts she did that she was hypnotizing and I totally agree. I was going to send a message in to ask what the hell she was, but then decided to wait till the next installment of spellbinding writing to try and work out for my self. I figured it out and then checked her out on the web site, just to make sure! I want to say that she has written her posts very well. With a character of such diversity it could become quite complicated to work out who's who and what's going on, and she hasn't confused me too much. I am looking forward to more of her work, in fact I can’t wait.”

"'Kitkat' for her piece 'Just Dust' during the hostage crisis. Very dark, very moody, and very realistic look at someone's reaction to the horrors they'd been forced to endure and the 'death' of Kylar."

"My vote goes out to Kate for her total involvement of her seemingly 'safe' character of Ammanlyn Lywhyn. Who'd have thought a counselor of fragile nature would shine in a violence and action-driven storyline? Her characterization of the written descent into her PC's psyche using both the Breen situation and Curran's challenges were riveting. A-1 writing. I can't wait to see more from this impressive character. Can't wait to see more from her and Lori, too."

We have our winner!

-=/\=- Robert -=/\=-

“I would also like to mention Victor Kriegoff.  I have enjoyed some of his work over the last mission and want to make a comment, statement, question, or really just kick him and a few other people up the arse, 1) When the hell is he gonna get together with Ella?  It's driving me nuts! And I quote Arnie, "Just do it" get it....?  2)  What's with the transfer folks?  He's been on the edge tittering away since just after I joined, make a bloody decision, what are you lot old women?  The blokes a good guy (on occasion) he's saved so many butts in this mission - give him a freaking medal!  OKAY?”

"Robert's writing is always absolutely first-rate, but in this episode in particular, the Krieghoff character shone, popping up in many varied scenarios and interacting in interesting ways with several other characters. In many cases Victor was at the heart of the action, and Robert's unique style, as always, brought Death himself to life."

"I'd have to say Robert. He outwrote everyone. I wish I could put such an effort these days."

"I guess Robert because Victor is always interesting."

"I'd say Robert. I always enjoy his stories, he's relatively easy for me to read, I like him, and he seemed fairly central to what was going on. I think his stories are pretty nifty."

"I thought Nara and Iniara's writers were good and I thought Savar's writer did well and I liked Kreighoff's stuff."
