Simmer of the Mission

Stuart

"I feel I didn't really contribute that much but it is what I saw being written and was impressed with [him]."

Michal

"Just want to say that your portrayal of Faylin has been a joy to read. Her trials with love and relationships, her love for her daughter, her attention to her duty... all of it has just been great.

This post in particular with her interaction with her daughter brought tears to my eyes with the way you so eloquently displayed the emotion for a mother having to leave her child, the torture that involves, the heart ach.... truly you are an artist with words.

Your writing style has been so easy to read, flows smoothly. Faylins multi faceted personality is just brilliant."

Brian

"I can't sit here and not say anything about this. The dynamic between these two professionals is truly aw inspiring. You two convey the essence of friendship on the page that I have seen no other do to this level on this sim. It is truly moving to read.

Having been in a situation similar to the character of Brian, I can feel the emotion drip off my computer screen. I can connect with it. And I think even without having a similar experience I still would. This stuff is real, raw and touching. And again I am lost for words.

I have been catching up on posts today - and unfortunately had to skip a lot, but the "Kate" series had me reeling, and a few others from the crew had me laughing or gripped to the edge of my seat - and in true Dru fashion I have told them all so. But yet again I find myself lost for words in describing the emotions that course through me when reading your work.

...yeah holding back the tears... Truly amazing.

"This has been a total joy to read. this series of posts has been totally wonderful, moving. I have laughed, cried and giggled my way through it. The writing style has been so simple, so captivating, easy to read and flowed so gracefully. Totally brilliant. Brilliant writing, brilliant reading.... totally exquisite.

Thank you so much for such a highlight to my day.

I don't know if my words here are a true reflection of what I have felt when reading this series, I don't think I can do it justice, it was that dammed good"

Pat and Kit-Kat

"Just like to say that I'm really feeling for Corran at the moment. Your writing as always, is completely spell binding, and so moving. The trials with Ella, the journey with Vic the relationship between Corran and Pad - all of it is so captivating. Thank you for such moving and entertaining reading. Truly beautiful."

Chris

"With the flood of posts at the moment an intro to a new character can get lost, half of the posts I admit I am skimming after reading the first three lines and moving on - trying to get through 160 posts in a night is painful to say the least- but I have to tell you that so far you are sticking out from the crowd. I am liking the gum popping, purple nailed blond bimbo with the slug (?) roommate.... you have been refreshing. Keep plugging!"

Lori C.

"I would like to nominate Lori, who writes Naranda Roswell, for Catalyst's Simmer of the Mission.

I think Lori deserves some long overdue recognition as one of the leading simmers on the Galaxy. Her sheer amount of participation is astounding, and her interaction with literally half the sim is admirable.

Just on Catalyst, she was involved on the Engineering arc AND with the trip to Romulus with Jonas, probably the two most interesting plot threads on the mission.

Finally, we keep seeing new sides of her main character, Nara. Every character she interacts with on the sim - and there are many of those - draw a whole range of reactions and behaviors from her, making her one of the more realistic characters on board."

"Mekaela, for Andrus. This was more towards the beginning of the Catalyst episode, but I loved the introduction of Andy's character and I can't wait to see what happens to him. Hopefully a few more humorous mental breakdowns, hee."

"...a lot of the gang on the Galaxy made some terrific moments on the last episodes. I'm talking about stuff that I would enjoy watching that would make the great maestros JMS and Peter David weep with enjoyment. This last episode showed me why I'm on the Galaxy as Ward and Slayton. Much enjoyment good sir, much enjoyment!"

Robert H.

Tough call - still reading a lot of the posts though Robert H and the 'Aunts' posts were enjoyable.

Matt and Laura

"Vox and Nica Reyol had a great side gig - both their writing excelled in their mini series. both of them carry such beauty on the page, their penmanship is breathtaking. their description of such animalistic characters is inspiring and truly awesome. no matter what Mat writes its always beautiful, and Nica... well just wow too."

"Their storyline's just been awesome all around. I've enjoyed it a lot."

Robert and Pat

"I really can't narrow it down any further than that, [It] held my interest for the longest and I'm waiting to see how [it] end[s] (Modified by editor as it complimented a Open Fist storyline as well)."

"...the whole Pat and Rob H. for the Vic/Corran side plot."

"Kelden and McDowell's side story was interesting too - I have yet to read where it ends but so far I like its direction."

"The authors of 'Timestorm' - it's always good to see someone putting together a temporal subplot that ties into the mission but doesn't take it over. Entertaining stuff."
