T’Val Alexus Grax was born on the USS England on September 23rd, 2358 to Lt. Alexandra Grax, Asst. Chief Counselor on the England. T’Val’s father, a Vulcan who was friends with her mother was going though his mating time, the Pon Farr and mated with Alexandra.

A few months later after her friend left the young Betazoid counselor, she found out that she was going to have his baby but kept it a secret from him. When T’Val was just five years old her mother dropped her off at her grandparents house on Betazed since the England was going on a deep space mission and family members need to be transferred to somewhere safe since it going to be a very, very long mission for Starfleet.

So with a tear in her eye Alexandra gave T’Val her an Betazoid necklace and kissed her only child goodbye.

The young girl had a very normal childhood on Betazed as she when to public schools along with other children her age. She made many friends even though the young T’Val was part Vulcan.

Sadly, T’Val never got a letter or a call from her beloved mother and didn’t get to see her until 2376 when the young woman started Starfleet Academy where she majored in Counseling just like her mother. She minored in the medical sciences.

T’Val was very adept at sports, which including swimming and gymnastics as well as her studies. She took up singing and acting while at the Academy which gave her more courage than ever before.

She also had her share of lovers at the Academy but the young woman doesn’t kiss and tell.

In 2380, T’Val was awarded the Outstanding Cadet Award (for swimming and gymnastics) and the Keller Award (for her work with disabled children) a few months before graduation.

After graduation, T’Val was posted to the USS Japan where she met a kind and strong willed Betazoid by the name of Commander Rose Isis MacAllen, XO of the Japan. They became very fast friends while taking care of Rose’s children.

During a shore leave on DS9 in 2381, T’Val along with a few other girlfriends was at the bar having a good time when a Betazoidi ensign - who was very much drunk - tried to take advantage of the young woman.

When T’Val emphatically but gently declined his advances, the young man called the young counselor a "half breed slut".

Let’s just say after all that happened in the bar that evening, she spent the night in the brig. She was reprimanded and ordered by her commanding officers to attend counseling sessions for the temper she had been hiding.

After several sessions, the Chief Counselor of the Japan discovered that T’Val have been hiding her feelings about her mother being away on deep space assignment during most of her childhood as well as her being ashamed of her Vulcan heritage. Her attack on the Betazoid ensign had a deeper meaning when he called her a "half breed slut".

Both the Captain and Commander MacAllen wanted the young woman to keep on seeing the counselor along with keeping her busy with other duties. One of these assignments was to take on the role of a Diplomacy officer for the Japan. She enthusiasticaly immersed herself in the extra responsibilities, excelling beyond expectations.

After two years, MacAllen thought it was time for the young woman to move on to another ship, to spread her wings so to speak, so T’Val was transferred to the USS Galaxy hoping to grow there.

T’Val is a very good at what she does both as a counseling and diplomacy officer, but she still has a temper problem that she continues attending therapy for. She is still ashamed of her Vulcan heritage and wants no part in finding out who her Vulcan father is. To T’Val he's dead.

She loves meeting new people and bringing around friends and family, including keeping in touch with her mother, now commanding officer of the USS Chilton, and Rose MacAllen with whom she writes to every other week when she has time. She also likes to keep fit by swimming, horseback riding, and gymnastics. T’Val hopes to make new friends and start a new chapter of her life on the Galaxy.

Before leaving the Japan, Commander Rose Isis MacAllen wrote this small note to the Commanding officer of the Galaxy about T’Val:

"I thought I had problems. I have every faith that T’Val Grax will make a good officer but she will need to have counseling for her temper. As of now though, she's doing a very good job controlling it. I just hope and pray that she will learn to control them so that she will spread her wings and grow with each passing day."
