Tamara has grown up with wealthy parents, who have allowed her to do as she pleases. She was never too adventurous and joining Starfleet Academy was the most adventurous thing she had ever done. Her childhood was filled with material possessions, some of which she wanted some of which she couldn't care for. She had been sent to boarding school in Cambridge from the beginning, and is used to being away from home. While in Cambridge she had a talent with people, but she didn't realize it until later at Starfleet Academy. While at the Academy, the first four years of basic training left her feeling empty and useless. She enrolled as a joke to study Klingon language. After coming top of her class, she enrolled that same year to do Vulcan, and then following that Ferengi Languages. With her talent with people and her linguistic skills, she was left to decide between Diplomacy and Intelligence. It was an easy decision, considering she didn't like the idea of fighting too much, and so enrolled to do two more years specialist Diplomatic Training.

She can sometimes act like a spoiled brat, but mostly she has a polite and genial manner. She's very used to getting what she wants, and usually fights for something until she finally gets it, although when it doesn't quite go to plan she tends to throw a hissy fit and sulk for days. She sometimes walks with an air of pomposity, and can treat people with a an attitude as though they are below her in someway.

Aside from all this negativity, she is often fun to be around and knows how to have a good time. She gets on very well with those close to her and fairly well with others. She has a good sense of humour.
