Born Brianna Catherine O'Shea in a small Irish village of Belhara, Ireland. Youngest child of four, and the only daughter, of William and Minevera O'Shea. Growing up Brianna or 'Anna' realized she had to prove herself not only to her brothers but to her father as well. The O'Shea clan was a long time engineering family, it seemed to be in their blood line. Each one moved on to become a good engineering, but that wasn't the path chosen for young Brianna.

Favoring his sons, Will, Gabriel, Peter and Colin. William let Menevera handle Brianna. Her brothers treated her as their little princess, hovering over her most of her childhood and teenage years. When she finally got the chance and joined Starfleet Academy, it shocked her father she elected to major in Engineering. Taking the intuitive, Brianna focused on schooling. Shortly after her first year at the academy, her dorm and room was raided by band of boys in what she later found out was a panty raid.
Brianna was never one to be out done, she along with roommate Lisa Sanchez, Dina Myers and Jose Geller, teamed up and formed plan of retaliation. The 'Starfleet Angels' as they came to be, accessed the men's dorm maintenance control. Brianna reprogrammed the men's showers to blue pigment, which turned out to be disastrous. Andorians and Bolians thought it was a insult, the incident was tracked down to the four girls and a formal reprimanded was issued to the four.
After graduation, 2374-2375 Brianna was assigned to the USS Miranda as a junior engineer. Serving on the Miranda was a wonderful experience, as a Ensign this was her chance to finally get some good hands on work done. This was also when she leaned the facility of life, a follow engineer died in a fluke engineering accident. It shook her up but after some advice from her department chief, she refocused and was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade.
Shortly in 2377 Brianna received a commendation and promotion to Lieutenant because of a engineering part she worked up, the commendation was expected, the promotion though was a complete surprise. In the fall of 2377, Brianna was transferred and sent to the USS Cairo, Assistant Chief Engineer. After a intense battle with a Domination Sphere, Brianna was given another commendation for her services in quantum sciences. It was her logistical thinking that helped the Chief Science officer initiate a sonic tetryon pulse that broke the Cairo away from the Tractor beam of the Borg Sphere.
Brianna was noticed and was offered the chance being a chief, accepting it in 2379 she was assigned as Chief Engineer, USS Galaxy.
In 2380, Lt. O'Shea was granted a commission in the Starfleet Corps of Engineers at Jupiter Station. In August 2381, she was assigned to Starbase 212 in preparation for the USS Galaxy's refit. She would oversee many aspects of the Galaxy III project. Upon the vessel's completion, she was transferred on board as an Engineering Specialist representing the S.C.E. for long-term testing of the new class.
In December 2381, she was promoted to Chief Engineering Officer permanently.
Sometime during 2382/83, the Chief Engineer had been abducted and replaced with a clone.
In July of 2383, Brianna O'Shea was relieved of duty and sent to Starfleet Medical on Earth to undergo evaluation based on her time spent as a POW in a Hydran labour camp.
"Brianna has always felt she's not measured up, mostly because of her father. She believes she has to prove herself to him before she truly matters to the world around her. She is bright, but does have reoccurring nightmares of the death of her friend on the Miranda.
On duty she is driven to her job, off duty she is light hearted and loves to be around people.
