Belle was born to Thomas Jeffrey Patch and Annabelle Sue Patch on the 18th of June 2359, in the quaint little town of Sausalito on Earth. Her father Thomas, a successful businessman with loose ties to the Communication Research Center in San Francisco, and her mother Ann, a mild-mannered housewife, were overjoyed with the birth of their first, and last, child. Belle lived a mostly uneventful life, clocking a lot of mother-daughter time with her mother before and during her school years. Belle was a happy child who made friends fast and loved doing little girl things, like setting her hair and gossiping about boys when she really didn't have any idea what they were good for yet.

At the age of 16 her family moved from Sausalito to San Francisco for her father s work. It wasn't much of a stretch, but Belle quickly took a shine to the life of a big city, made new friends and went on with her life like any given teenager.

At a party late one night a local scout, who was fishing around for new faces to lead shows for teenagers, spotted her. Belle was asked to come to an audition and got picked to take lead of a popular show called SF Madness . Along with that came several other odd tasks, from appearing in commercials to playing the part of an announcer in open-air shows and slowly but surely the girl gathered a considerable amount of popularity. Thanks to her open nature and comfortableness with cameras she was noticed by the people at BNS and offered a job, which she accepted. By the year 2375 Belle had finished the San Francisco Maywille College, with an interstellar communications major and a minor in business management, and working regularly for BNS, while still keeping some of the lighter events at arm reach, so she wouldn't become a total stiff.

With the disaster of 2375, where San Francisco was severely damaged by a Breen raid, Belle made an on the spot decision to join Starfleet, so she wouldn't be completely useless when something like that ever happened again. It was an emotional decision and she is yet to decide whether she did the right thing by joining Fleet, but she decided to stick with it and see where it went. You re only young once, after all, and the universe might decide to run away if you don t hurry to discover it.

Belle went through the Academy well enough, nothing spectacular but she worked at a reasonable level and was in the top fourth of the class, though her constant partying and active social life sometimes got into the way of her studies.

When she finished the Academy in 2381 her first posting was to be on the Tirpitz-class USS Olympus, where she served a turn as an Operations Officer. In 2382 she decided that a change was in order and asked to be transferred, which ended up with the girl finding herself on the USS Galaxy, hyperactivity included.

Belle is an open, friendly, extroverted optimist, who always looks on the bright side of life. She's enthusiastic and free-willed, very social and bubbly. She loves chatting, gossiping and listening to music, as well as singing along to it.

Her passions include shopping, dressing nice, playing tennis and generally hanging out. She doesn't consider herself grown up by any stretch of the imagination and has a tendency to act a bit childish at times. She's also a bit naïve, but not exactly fallen from the Moon, so things aren't too horrid in that department, even if she is a bit odd every now and then.

Her true passion is communicating and she fidgets happily every time Fleet considers testing out Communications again, as that's the one department she's made for and hopes to work in one of these days.

Being a good kid she loves her parents and her extended family with great passion. She s also a bit of a softy, happily reading soppy romance novels and following the tragic lives of her favorite soap-opera characters. She believes in true love, princes in white Hoppers and happily ever after.

Belle is an enthusiastic cook, but she's nearly hopeless at it. When she doesn't burn it, she put salt instead of sugar, or forgot to add a 'secret ingredient' or just misplaced whatever she had just made before she had a chance to taste it.

The girl has a small tattoo on the inner side of her right thigh, though naturally nearly no one knows of it.

Belle loves music, and often goes around humming some tune out loud, or getting 'lost in the beat' and making a mess of her room while impersonating a rock star.

She is constantly having chat sessions with friends back home or on other ships, since life without talking isn't worth living. So when she isn't cooking, singing or dancing she's most definitely chatting.

Belle had a nickname back at home - she was called 'Dee', for no real reason. Because of a deep fondness for the name, as well as a decision that it sounds 'funky', the name stuck with her.

Belle also loves children and is certain she wants at least two when she finally settles down, as soon as her prince shows up and takes her away.
