Tyten has no recollection of his past. His earliest memory stems from when he was 5 years old and found by a Starfleet survey team on the planet Koros II. He was found wandering the streets of a bombed out city with no memory of how he had gotten there or even what had happened earlier that day. The where abouts of his parents or any family members were and remain unknown. He was taken back to Earth by the survey team where he was placed in the foster home of John and Jennifer Douglas in San Francisco. The Douglas' were very kind to him but despite their best efforts, Tyten lived a troubled childhood. It wasn't until several counseling sessions after his arrival at Earth that he rememberd his name. Many nights were sleepless or filled with terrible nightmares of screams, death, and destruction. Though the other children at school and in his neighborhood were accepting of him, there was a part deep inside that always felt like an outcast because of the color of his skin. Realizing this, Jennifer taught him the importance of being proud of his heritage and the lesson has carried with him ever since. During his teenage years, John introduced Tyten to old Earth aircraft. He immediately fell in love with the WWII era fighter jets and from that moment on, made it his goal that he would one day join Starfleet and fly fighters. Tyten entered the Academy proud and full of determination. His classmates often mistook his determination as cockiness. He was a risk taker, especially in the cockpit of a fighter. And, while it drove his instructors nuts, he often received high commendations from them for his ingenuity behind the controls. |

Tyten is extremely proud of his Bolian heritage and of the color of his skin. His determination to get the job done and be the best at what he does is often misinterrpreted as cockiness. He's playful and a little flamboyant at times. Always up for a good laugh, it is not uncommon for him to be the culprit behind a practical joke.
Tyten is still searching for his past and spends some of his free time searching records and databases around the galaxy.
