Emily came from a live of privilege living in uptown Boston, Mass. She was sheltered in and among the Boston elite for quite some time during her life, and thanks to her brother in Starfleet, she's managed not to become a complete snob while growing up. She's grown from a very long line of lawyers dating all the way back to the colonial era. So it really was no surprise at all when she was accepted into the Academy to go into the Law/Diplomatic Corps. Academy life suited young Emily just fine and gave her the temperance she needed to adjust to 'normal' life. She excelled in every subject and ended up graduating at the top of her class.
Reality came crashing down hard on her when she got to the Law Program back in Boston. Her instructors were strict and her long standing boyfriend of about 5 years dumped her without any warning whatsoever. It took her some time to get used to it, but she got over it and moved on. She ended up venting her anger out in the mock-courtrooms using her anger to blow away anything resembling an argument.
Shortly after the Law program was completed, she got her first assignment as ship's JAG Officer on the prestigious USS Galaxy. |

| Emily is a bit of a peacemaker as she abhors violence. She's a bit wary of men ever since she was dumped harshly by her boyfriend. Is also a bit of the socialite and can be a bit 'snobbish' at times, but this is simply from her upbringing. She manages to keep this under control but it comes out occasionally. |
