Michael Jamson was born in space, close to the Klingon Homeworld, Q'onos. His parents were both rogue merchants and outlaws wanted by the Federation for piracy, theft, murder, and membership in the Orion Syndicate as well as other organized crimes Cartels. His home was an old dusty Outpost located on the Klingon/Romulan Border. This outpost was basically a place for all sorts of characters who wished to disappear or to seek refuge. Since both of his parents were wanted criminals, he was forced to growing up with many 'distinctive' races, or "Scum of the Universe" as his grandfather used to call them. Among those races you could find a rich mixture of aggressive and cunning cultures such as, Klingons, Romulans, and Gorns.

As a little boy, Michael was brutally abused by the rest of the races children. He often returned home with cuts, beaten, with his clothes all torn. As time passed, he learned the hard way, that only the strong ones could survive - "survival of the fittest". And a fine example, was the Klingons. They were cruel, strong, brutal, and above all,  well respected. No one dared to threaten a Klingon at the outpost, and Michael was really impressed.

Soon, he started making Klingon friends, getting close to them. He wanted to understand them, learn from them about their ways of life...he even dreamed of becoming one of them...but that was of course impossible, as his father and mother told him so many times. But he didn't give up, he had to know what it is like to have a Klingon spirit, a warrior's spirit. And so, he tried to spend as much time as he could at his Klingon friends' houses, listening to battle poems and war stories of great Kah'less and his legendary Bat'lah.

He accompanied his teen aged friends through their strange ceremonies, learned their history, customs, and tried to hang among them as much as possible. As the years passed, his patience helped him to achieve some of his dreams, the Klingons accepted him into their houses and inner circle. They even allowed him to join their hunting trips, take part in their sacred trials, and to sing Klingon operas with them. He was finally able to taste what it was like to be a Klingon even though he was not one of them physically...but in his spirit, however, he felt like one, up until this day.

At the year of 2363, when the Romulan Star Empire lost contact with several Warbirds and Stations at the vicinity of their borders, they moved to investigate and were astonished to find no evidence. Dozens of Ships, Stations and Outposts have vanished, some of them destroyed and vaporized. At the time, it was unknown who or what was able to perform such an act, but as the Federation encountered one of their greatest threats...the Borg, it was more clear who was responsible for the disappearances. Jamson was one of a few lucky survivors who managed to escape this horrible fate, simply by being away on Q'onos, staying with friends. When his grandfather passed him the news, he kept silent, to himself, not expressing any feelings, as if nothing happened. On that day, a part of him died, and he swore to revenge the loss of his friends, family and loved ones.

When Michael's grandfather was younger, he had served in Starfleet, aboard the USS Potemkin, an Explorer in the Outer Rim. Ever Since Jamson could remember himself, his grandfather used to fill his head with visions and images of strange worlds, stories of adventure and fame. This along with the recent loss of his family and longings to his friends and home  caused him to think of Starfleet as his future. He had a crucial decision to make, he could wander the rims of the galaxy with his grandfather like his parents before, or he could build himself a new life. His grandfather, who thought Michael was too young to apply to Starfleet, set him a job on the Federation Starship Longbow as a technician in order to gain experience before applying to the Starfleet Academy.

The Longbow was too an Explorer, it fulfilled Jamson's dream to travel to other worlds, explore the universe as a non-commissioned technician. He would spend a year before applying to the Academy.

Graduating at the age of 20, Ensign Jamson was assigned to the U.S.S. Ranger, as an Operations Manager. In the absence of manpower he was soon promoted to a Full Lieutenant and became the Chief Of Operations. When a vacant position on the U.S.S Galaxy as the Operations Chief became available, the young Lieutenant grabbed the opportunity. He advanced through the chain of Command swiftly and eventually became the Executive officer, after the Ship's First Officer Carla Gael, and Lt.Commander Shelby, the Security Chief and Second in Command, were killed in action.

When his former captain transferred to desk duty and left the Ranger, he was recommended both by his current commanding Officer, Captain Price, and his former captain, for a promotion. He now took command of his former and first ship, the USS Ranger.

After the Ranger was assigned to Starfleet Special Task Force, primarily to oppose both the Dominion and Borg threats, Jamson almost single handedly caused the death of thousands of Starfleet Finest by pursuing a Borg Scout vessel into an ambush and thus, endangering the Fleet as a result of personal vengeance. Not sure of his abilities to command once more, Station Beta 2 was his next assignment. His role was advisory, and consisted of Tactical Warfare Strategies against the Borg and the Dominion, and later on, as an unintentional bonus, to command the U.S.S Cherokee which was assigned to defend Beta 2.

The same year another incident caused his career to 'stumble'. This time, he was accused of destroying a Civilian Cardassian Freighter in the neutral zone. He was immediately transferred to Earth for a trial, but this was cancelled due to a bargain or "deal" with JAG to retire from Active duty and resume his career as an Instructor in the Academy. While lecturing as an expert of Ship Operations and Tactical Warfare for several  months, Captain Jamson took a vacation on the beautiful world of Risa.

On his way, at Starbase 133, he and several other officers, including Klingons, intentionally provoked another group of Cardassians into a brawl. Unfortunately, Jamson and the rest did not stop at the bar where they were located and continued further to vandalize the facilities, and bash at the station's security personnel including 2 Commanders and a Captain.

This time, his fate was sealed, and only an intervention by his former Commanding Officer, Captain Edward Lee Price saved his career. He then served for a year with the rank of a Lieutenant aboard the U.S.S Galaxy, as an Operations Officer, under the supervision of Captain Price.

Once serving as the Galaxy's Executive Officer, Chief of Operations, and eventually earning the much desired captain's rank, Jamson was now a simple junior operations officer. Furthermore, his department's head was younger than he was which caused a lot of disputes on the professional level around the Operations Department and followed by Jamson's transfer request.

The following year, Jamson was transferred and assigned to Jupiter Station, the largest starbase in the Sol system, as well as a central core for passing starships, visitors, scientists and researchers - Starfleet Officers and Civilians alike. 3 Years on the busy Jupiter Station were more than enough for Michael who was now searching for a more 'challenging' position on a starship. Soon, a vacancy was open on the USS Expedition, a new Excelsior-B Class Explorer.

He then served on the USS Expedition as it's Deputy Operations Officer until his transfer to the larger tonnaged USS Galaxy as a junior Operations Officer.

You will never catch a smile on Jamson's face, it's unique and extremely rare. Like many Klingons with a short 'fuse', he tends to get upset easily over nothing. Insulting and mistreating him could result on severe consequences unless his human side, common sense, and logic can gain control. He admires honor and discipline above all, and would do anything to be respected. He has some problems fitting in socially, but so far he has done very well with the help of several counselors. Most of his reviews report of professionalism with the lack of social relations. Jamson hates talking and prefers action. He tries to keep to himself, minding his own business. When not around, you will most likely find him spending hours in the Holodeck, and in his quarters, training and reading.

Michael's last name is pronounced "James-Son".
