Marra was born in 2328 as a third child in a family of successful diplomats. Her parents were highborn and politically influential therefore young Marra had an easy start in life. However as she grew up she quickly became frustrated with inability to come out of her parents shadow. Her older siblings didn’t make that easier, with her seven years older brother who joined Tal Shiar and her five years older sister who joined Romulan Guard and later became honoured with an invitation to Tal Prai'ex. To avoid living in the shadow of her family Marra distanced herself from her relatives requesting service at the far edges of the Empire for her compulsory service. Born warrioress she proved herself apt in security, serving well enough to be commended for NCO training at space marine base back on Romulus. After the training Marra was assigned as a squad leader of marine force aboard a Warbird. She served there for exemplary for four years, slowly manage to build her own reputation, making her parents very proud... though slightly disappointed as, in face of Marra’s siblings careers, they hoped for her to be a heir of their work as diplomats. In 2359 Marra for her achievements was recommended and approved for officer training at Imperial War College. At that time also, a growing rift between her siblings erupted almost in open war when they both tried to recruit her to either Tal Shiar or Tal Prai'ex. Marra though had different plans and she wanted to join Tal Diann, Romulan naval intelligence. In 2364, with end of studies at Imperial War College a tragedy had happened, both Marra’s parents were killed during Borg raid on Romulan outposts. As if not enough end of Romulan isolation prompted change in politics and Marra’s application for naval intelligence was rejected. She decided not to give up. In next three years, she served in security aboard various Warbirds, rising to position of, first assistant and then chief of security. As chief of security, she served also on Sela’s Warbird during her secret mission to disrupt Klingon Empire. Marra’s achievements were recognized in 2367 in promotion to erei'Arrain. The same year she was finally accepted into Tal Diann and sent for additional espionage and infiltration training on Coravus Prime. Starting from 2368 now as part of Tal Diann Marra was performing various missions as a part of Romulan Special Forces. As such, she took part in Dominion War, many times going into Delta Quadrant in Black Ops missions. Her outstanding service earned her Sotarek Citation and Wound Badge, as well promotion to Enarrain. During that time she also met briefly Shinzon cooperating with shock troops he commanded. At the dawn of the Dominion War, in 2374, Marra was reassigned and became Tal Diann Special Agent. One of her first assignments was secret investigation into the death of her uncle Senator Vreenak murdered earlier that year. However, despite traveling to DS9 and on Cardassia before she was able to get close to any leads Maara was assigned as attaché to Senator Cretak and was in her staff during her stay on DS9 in 2375. Later Maara was in charge of arresting Cretak for her treason. She continued in service of Tal Diann as Special Agent with exception of short time in 2377 when she was commanding her own commando unit during Watraii affair, awarded with Praetor Colius Award. Shinzon’s coup d’états in 2379 found her again as Special Agent operating in Alpha Quadrant and with following it time of chaos, Marra returned into heart of Romulan Empire. Still very young in Romulan terms but prodigious officer, filled with patriotism she tried to make a difference and help heal the wounds Romulan Empire was suffering from. As Tal’Aura seized power, Marra remained with Donatra, in opposition. Within less than a year become one of lower echelon intelligence officers in Donatra’s. However, when in 2380 when Donatra proclaimed herself as Empress and deepened internal turmoil, Marra became overwhelmed by the situation, still too young and without enough powerful friends. All ended in 2382 for her when she became a pawn and allowed manipulate herself in political scheme, accusing influential General of the Guard of treason. Despite discovering dangerous ploy that could cripple further difficult situation in Romulan space, she was degraded, reprimanded and discharged from Tal Diann, narrowly escaping discharge from military, prison time and perhaps even death sentence. Having little options Marra joined diplomatic corps and was taken in by an old friend of her parents – Kalavak, Romulan Ambassador to the United Federation of Planets. Here on Earth, Marra got over the psychological blow that was discharge from Tal Diann. In 2384 Marra was became prominent diplomat within Kalavak staff recognized by Starfleet and in 2385 she was offered Liaison officer position aboard of USS Galaxy. |

Marra most of the time is ironic and slightly arrogant like a typical Romulan, soldier-tough and icy cold. However, that is just her mask. She can be patient if she wants to, as few Romulans can be. Though at first sight she seems to be dispassionate like her Vulcan cousins, Marra can be very emotional and ardent about things that are important to her. She is curious being and sometimes even overcurious easily slipping into one of her species’ favorite sport – spying on others. She can be seductive, sweet and use deceit if needed. As a Romulan Marra does not trust easily but when she does, she can be a lifetime friend. To those she knows better and considers as friends she shows warmer and sensitive side. Marra is very loyal and has her own code of values though it has little to do with code of honor. She loves word games and flirt. She is sexually open and slightly hedonistic. Being able to walk stealthily, Marra also likes to startle people. Marra consider herself as a professional, values subtleness, dislikes dilettantism, and despises unnecessary brutality. She also doesn’t like Klingons. |

Marra is ex-commando and ex-intelligence agent with arsenal of many skills and talents. However, with how things turned out for her in the past she tends to remain on low profile, comfortable as liaison officer of diplomatic corps. Marra is extremely agile, training martial arts every day.
She also had quite a few romantic affairs in her past that pop up in the least expected moments. As of 2385, Marra is still considered as not desired anywhere close to Romulus and her siblings cut off any relationships with her. |
