Mailing Lists Rules and Regulations
General Rules

The following regulations apply to all four mailing lists:

  1. Respect others and treat others as you would treat yourself.
  2. No Spamming. No chain letters, and no recruitment messages for other sims without GM approval.
  3. No Flaming. This one can't be repeated enough. Keep things civil.
  4. Remember, everything you send to any list goes to *everyone* subscribed to it. If you are responding to a single person, take it off the list and direct it to them privately. It helps keep the flood of mail from blowing up our mailboxes.

Any writer who sends a message to any mailing list with the deliberate intention of causing tempers to flare or trying to start a flame war, or any writer who insults, belittles or demeans any other writer or their opinions, shall be removed from said list for a period of one month.  A second offense will result in removal from the game.
In-Character (IC) List

Messages sent to the In-Character list should be restricted to posts/logs and the occasional GM/Admin/Plot GM notes that need to go to everyone on the game (since not everyone is subscribed to the OOC list).

If you wish to discuss game-related things out of character or just chat with your fellow writers, that's what the OOC list is for. Keep the IC list for logs only.

Out-of-Character (OOC) List
The OOC list is more or less a free-for-all, with pretty much any topic open for discussion. Just keep it friendly and civil.
Plots List

The Plots list is just what the name might suggest-- a place to discuss plots. Usually, this is the place where basic plot ideas and partially crafted mission outlines go to be refined before the missions are run.

Staff List
The Staff list is for the Department Heads and other leaders of the sim to discuss things in a smaller forum. The most common traffic on this list involves discussion of new writer applications and character bios.
