USS Galaxy Timeline - From 2354 AD to 2364 AD

This timeline is used in conjunction with the USS Galaxy Email Fan Fiction Writers RPG as a reference guide. - Jack Crusher, officer aboard the U.S.S. Stargazer under the command of Jean-Luc Picard, dies on an away mission [TNG: "True Q", "Violations"].
- Dr. T'Pan, becomes director of the Vulcan Science Academy [TNG: "Suspicions"].
- Curtis Geluf, a Kerelian, is born on Kera. He will later become Chief of Operations for the USS Galaxy.
- Jaiana McCormick is born at the Terran colony of New Texas. She will later become Vanguard Division Commander on the USS Galaxy.
- Kyle Riker and Katherine Pulaski end their relationship when Kyle returns to Starfleet [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2354, February 7
- Colby Eliot is born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Earth. He will later serve as an Operations Officer on the USS Galaxy.

- Ensign Benjamin Sisko graduates Starfleet Academy and is immediately posted to the USS Livingston [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2354, Post-June
- On Pelios Station, Ensign Benjamin Sisko assists Curzon Dax with diplomatic negotiations between the Bactricans, the Azziz, and the Federation [DS9: The Lives Of Dax - "The Music Between The Notes"].
- Irene Hansen receives a transmission from Lt. Byron Morgan, informing her that Starfleet has lost contact with the Raven [Strange New Worlds V: "Final Entry" - February 23, 2356].
- 7 year-old Robin Lefler lives on Tantalus while her father does plasma studies [New Frontier: No Limits - "Lefler's Logs" Stardate 31345.3-31610.7].
- 12 year-old Neelix repairs an ancient energy weapon [VOY Novel: "Pathways"].
- 20 year-old M'k'n'zy fulfills his obligation to sire a child for his brother's wife [New Frontier 5: "Martyr"].
- Catrine is bonded in a "land marriage" to the planet Xenex, blocking attempts to marry her into the G'lyndr clan [New Frontier: No Limits - "A Lady Of Xenex"].
- The staff of the Federation embassy at PojjanPiraKot, including Ambassador Spock, is evacuated due to an uprising among the population [TNG 53: "Red Sector" - Double Helix #3].
- Ramir Omar graduates the Rihannsu Astrophysical Academy 3rd of 200 students. He immediately enrols in the Rihannsu Military Academy. He will complete his term there by 2359.

- Will Riker goes to New Berlin for two weeks, and spends the rest of summer in Paris, France [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].

- William Riker enters Starfleet Academy [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].

- Rizo, a farmer on Bajor, is stripped of his land by the Cardassians. He flees into the hills with his 4 year old daughter, Petra, and joins the resistance [DS9 8: "Antimatter"].
- The U.S.S. "Excelsior" (NCC-2000) prototype Heavy Explorer/Transwarp Platform is decommissioned as a training vessel [FASA Roleplaying Guide, Second Edition].
- The final outer framing members are completed on the Galaxy Project as a minor design change in the forward dorsal requires added longitudinal members. The impulse engine system is complete, and warp engine core tests continue. The permanent gravity generator network is completed. Habitat modules and storage volumes are also complete. The transporter and subspace communications system antennae are modified to be made compatible with the deflector shield grid emissions. The SIF, running at low power, works out the starship's framing kinks. After a startup failure is repaired, the main deflector field focus tests successfully. The starboard pylon phaser bank is swapped with one from the U.S.S. "Yamato" (NCC71807), providing a better operational fit for each ship. The photon torpedo loader thermal problem returns, and a new fix is final. Sensor pallets are 50% installed; the minimum for flight [The Next Generation Technical Manual].
- General Order 29 is issued: "The primary responsibility of the commander of any Star Fleet vessel is the welfare and safety of his crew, including any civilian members of the ship or installation's complement. No action may be taken that creates an unwarranted threat to the safety of those individuals under the officer's charge, except in the line of duty and when otherwise unavoidable" [FASA Roleplaying Guide, Second Edition].
- The Battle of Maxia: the U.S.S. "Stargazer" (NCC-2893), under command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, engages a Ferengi vessel in the Maxia Zeta system. The "Stargazer," Picard's first command, is abandoned after the famous "Picard Maneuver" is executed. [TNG: "The Battle", Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- U.S.S. "Carver," almost simultaneously during the Battle of Maxia, tracks an unidentified vessel for twelve seconds at the extreme limit of sensor range. Later computer enhancement analysis by Star Fleet shows conclusively that the vessel was Ferengi [Worlds of the Federation].
- Captain Picard is court-martialed by Star Fleet J.A.G. officer Phillipa Louvois after the "Stargazer" is lost [TNG: "The Measure Of A Man"].
- The U.S.S. "Surishian" (NCC-20009) "Sagan" class science research vessel is lost, her whereabouts unknown [FASA Roleplaying Guide, Second Edition].
- Janeway turns down a date with Will Riker to work on her junior honors thesis proposal for Admiral Owen Paris [VOY Novel: "Mosaic"].
- B'Elanna Torres's father leaves her mother [VOY Novel: "Pathways"].
- Riker begins dating Janice Eardman [TNG 57: "The Forgotten War"].
- Robin Lefler completes a year spent on Rimbor with her parents, during which her mother begins to leave for weeks at a time [New Frontier: No Limits - "Lefler's Logs" - Stardate 32854.6].
- Cutter Ka'ranin, a Fruna'lin, is born in Talcla, Kardi'naln Continent, Fruna. He will later become a Science Officer on the USS Galaxy.
- Ilunya, the child of Ben Taggert, a Terran, and A'Tris, a Deltan, is born on Earth. She is the youngest of three children, with two older brothers. She will later serve as an Operations Officer on the USS Galaxy in 2380.
- Lt. M'Kantu is transferred to the USS Gorkon, an Excelsior Class starship, as a Tactical Officer. He will serve on her until 2358.
- Tyten, of Bolian heritage is born sometime this year at an unknown location. He will be discovered by a Starfleet Survey tema on Koros II when he is five years old with no earlier recollections. He will later serve on Vanguard Squadron flight duty on the USS Galaxy.
- Paulo DiMillo is born in Venice, Italy, Earth. He will later serve as an Intelligence Officer on the USS Galaxy.

- The second attempt on Kyle Riker's life is made, again in his apartment [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2355, June 19 (Father's Day)
- Jake Sisko is born at 11:544 PM [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2355, June 20
- Cadets William Riker, Estresor Fil, Dennis Haynes, Felicia Mendoza, and Boon begin their last group survival project of the year. They are deposited in San Francisco with no gear in a simulation of crash-landing in hostile territory with no technology to rely on. They are separated at beam-in and given single clues to locate their next checkpoints. They are given five days to locate five locations [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- Kyle Riker leaves Earth on the 'Morning Star', a Kreel'n freighter, to escape his assassins [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2355, June 22
Kyle Riker meets the only other passenger on the Morning Star, a human named John Abbot [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2355, June 24
- Cadet Riker's survival group - Zeta Squadron - completes their group project first, but are reprimanded for getting into an altercation with another squadron that costs the public sector many credits [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- Starfleet Security boards the Morning Star to detain a fugitive, who turns out to be John Abbot. He was a serial killer [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2355, Post-June 24
Kyle Riker disembarks the Morning Star on Hazimot, and takes up residence in the city of Cozzan on the continent of Cyre. He moves into a free apartment complex called 'The End' and loses himself within the slums [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].

- The Alcyons destroy a Tarellian spacecraft which is believed to be the last of its kind until another one is detected in 2364 [TNG: "Haven"].
- The war between the Haakonians and Talaxians ends when the Talaxians surrender after the explosion of the metreon cascade on Rinax [VOY: "Jetrel"].
- After following the Borg for nearly three years, the Hansens are assimilated. Their ship is partially assimilated but later abandoned in B'omar territory [VOY: "Scorpion", "The Raven", "Once Upon a Time", "Dark Frontier"].
- After an interim period of reaction against the standard military look, a compromise Star Fleet uniform design is introduced returning to the traditional blue, gold, and red patterns [FASA Roleplaying Guide, Second Edition].
- U.S.S. "Huxley," commanded by Captain Alfred C. Bowles, is destroyed by a thermonuclear device in orbit of the planet Rampart in the Rho Ophiuchi system [TNG 11: "Gulliver's Fugitives"].
- In the Delta Quadrant the Metrion Cascade, developed by the Haconian scientist Dr. Jetrel, annihilates the Telaxian moon Rynax killing 300,000. Neelix hides on Telax, not reporting for military service. Telax surrenders and Neelix returns to Rynax to bring back survivors. Dr. Jetrel is rejected by his wife and begins work on theoretical Regenerative Fusion to restore people vaporized by the Cascade [VOY: "Jetrel"].
- The U.S.S. "Cayuse" (NCC-52996) "Cheyenne" class starship joins in the evacuation of Lyran III with other U.F.P. vessels during the latest Tholian raid [U.S.S. Cheyenne Class Exploration Cruiser Operations Manual].
- The skin of the "Enterprise" is 90% complete. The warp engines power up tests to warp 8 equivalent. The warp coils are delivered and installed. Full power nonpropulsive tests of the impulse fusion generators are performed. The third computer core is finally delivered and installed, and additional programming and tests continue. The first habitat module swapout performed by transporter is successful. Transporter tests and the final SIF and inertial damping field hookups are completed. The communication system is 90% complete. Impulse power to the phasers is certified. 30% of the lifeboats are delivered and docked [The Next Generation Technical Manual].
- The as yet unnamed U.S.S. "Galaxy" (NX-70637) is launched from orbital dock on maneuvering thrusters [The Next Generation Technical Manual].
- The U.S.S. "Crazy Horse" (NCC-50446) "Cheyenne" class exploration cruiser serves with the 43rd Fleet in action against the Cardassians during the Border Wars. Before being ambushed and destroyed, the "Crazy Horse" manages to inflict enough casualties on the enemy to delay the invasion of Que IV and allow Star Fleet reserve vessels to arrive on the scene and protect the colony. Following her destruction, the previous ship to bear her name ("Excelsior" class) will be taken out of mothballs at Qualar II and recommissioned with the same NCC as that of her destroyed sucessor [U.S.S. Cheyenne Class Exploration Cruiser Operations Manual].
- The Federation wins a limited war with the Cardassians during this era.THE BORDER WAR [TNG 30: "Debtor's Planet"].
- Starfleet concludes that the U.S.S. Raven and its crew are irrecoverable [Strange New Worlds V: "Final Entry" - March 5-9, 2358].
- Chakotay graduates from the Academy with honors [VOY Novel: "Pathways"].
- Robin Lefler and her parents return to Earth and take a camping trip on the Jersey shore [New Frontier: No Limits - "Lefler's Logs" - Stardate 33678.2].
- Ensign Janeway is assigned as Junior Science Officer aboard the U.S.S. Icarus under Admiral Paris. Six months into the mission, Janeway and Paris are captured by Cardassians and rescued by Lt. Justin Tighe [VOY Novel: "Mosaic"].
- Harry Kim begins playing the clarinet [VOY Novel: "Pathways"].
- Ella Marie Grey is born in Santa Clara, California, Terra. Her father is Marcus Grey, founder of Grey Tech, a leader in microcircuitry development. She will later serve on the USS Galaxy as an Engineering Officer.
- John Q. Brhode graduates Starfleet Academy with a Branch focus in Tactical.
- Ensign John Q. Brhode is assigned the USS Hood as a Flight Control Officer for one year.
- Seltax VII is annexed by the Andorian Conglomerate. T’Shani Ardorannan A’Akledorian's clan moves here to take advantage of the rich mineral deposits.

- 16 year-old Si Cwan is forced by his father to prove his worthiness as a fighter by killing a wounded prisoner [New Frontier: No Limits - "Turning Point"].

2356, February
- Residents in 'The End' arek killed en masse by local police during a raid on a street party. Kyle Riker, when escaping with others into a deserted building, finds himself sitting in on a gathering of a local revolutionary group that wants to stage a coup of the government. He is recruited into the grroup due to his tactical experience, and eventually becomes romantically involved with the third love of his life as a result [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2356, August 30
- William Giardini is born to Parker and Margaret Giardini in Lake Cataria on Betazed. He will later serve on the USS Galaxy as a Surgical resident.

- The freighter S.S. Odin is heavily damaged near the planet Angel One, and four survivors manage to reach the planet in escape pods after a travel of five months [TNG: "Angel One"].
- The Talarians attack the Federation colony on Galen IV, killing most of the population except for youn Jeremiah Rossa [TNG: "Suddenly Human"].
- The Shakaar resistance group liberates the notorious Gallitep labor camp, the site of numerous atrocities committed against Bajorans imprisoned there. The camp commandant is Gul Darhe'el [DS9: "Duet"].
- A Hirogen hunter suffers a wound in one of his first matches in his captivity as a Tsunkatse fighter [VOY: "Tsunkatse"].
- GALAXY class keel NX-70637 is officially commissioned USS GALAXY NCC-70637 and is declared deep-spaceworthy, moving to outer Sector 001 for shakedown tests and finishing work.
- Tenara requests U.F.P. membership, which is delayed due to M'dok objections [TNG 8: "The Captain's Honor"].
- Following the destruction of the freighter "Odin" (NGL-12535), the survivors settle on Angel I. A conflict with the Prime Directive of Non-Interference results [TNG: "Angel One"].
- Surmak Ren is arrested by the Cardassian government on charges of terrorist activity stemming from the kidnapping of Gul Spumco and the disruption of the military, and imprisoned on Velos VII [DS9: "Babel"].
- Kira Nerys, a member of the Shakaar, liberates the Gallitep forced labor camp governed by Gul Darhe'el on Bajor. Kalla-Nohra Syndrome results from a mining accident there while Gul Darhe'el receives the Proficient Service medallion on Cardassia. Aamin Marritza, a Cardassian filing clerk, is one of the Cardassian survivors with Kalla-Nohra [DS9: "Duet"].
- Hull integrity is complete, and all SIF and IDF systems on the "Enterprise" are operational. The warp nacelles are buttoned up and certified for flight, with final impulse system adjustments underway. A computer core subspace field shielding problem arises on the "Enterprise" threatening one-third of the power systems aboard, and is traced to conflicting power-up procedures, and fixed. The communications system is completed after minor rerouting to avoid the computer problem. The remote firing of the photon torpedo system is successful. The final hookup of the defensive shields is completed, and sensor pallets are certified [The Next Generation Technical Manual].
- The U.S.S. "Galaxy" (NCC-70637) explorer is commissioned. This class represents Star Fleet's most sophisticated achievement in multimission ship systems designs, having a cruising velocity of warp 6 and a maximum velocity of warp 9.2 (on a revised warp scale), 14 phaser arrays, 3 photon torpedo launchers, and a complement of 1012 (including civilians/families). She is declared deep-spaceworthy and warp-capable, and moves to the outer solar system under Captain Shoak [The Next Generation Technical Manual, U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) Cutaway Poster].
- Neelix is given a hovercraft at the Feast of the First Night [VOY Novel: "Pathways"].
- Tasha's later years at Starfleet Academy [TNG 4: "Survivors"].
- Worf and Zak Kebron room together at Starfleet Academy [New Frontier 2: "Into the Void"].
- Lieutenant M'Kantu disobeys a direct order and goes rogue to rescue captured officers.
- The USS Al-Batani begins an overhaul process in preparation for Admiral Owen Paris to transfer his flag there and begin a five year mission [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2357, March
- Spock gives a lecture at Starfleet Academy [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- Hazimotian military responds to embarassment of MaHaross Ka Elstreth by the revolutionaries on Council-elect Day during a parade. They enter 'The end' and demand certain individuals turn themselves in or the entire district will be flattened. Kyle Riker's name is one of those dmeanded, but his lover Michelle takes responsibility by saying she used it as an alias. She is gunned down in the streets in front of him [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2357, April
On Saturn, Cadets Will Riker and Paul Rice engage in a flying challenge without permission to use the Academy shuttles. Pauls' shuttle is caught in an ion storm on Phoebe. Riker disobeys orders to disengage following him in and beams him out safely [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2357, June
- Will Riker and Dennis Haynes' friendship is ended when Will refuses to help Dennis cheat through the rest of his studies at Starfleet Academy. It is this conversation that sets Riker on the path that his first duty is to himself. He resolves to never let outside influences affect his judgment. He ends his relationship with Felicia Mendoza [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- Admiral McCoy give the graduation speech at Starfleet Academy. Riker graduates eighth in his class and is assigned to the USS Pegasus as a helm officer. Dennis Haynes finishes last in his class and leaves Starfleet [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- Kyle Riker leaves Hazimot amidst the chaos and confusion to return to Earth [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- The USS Pegasus is ordered to Candelar IV to take Endyk Plure into custody for war crimes in order to obtain a fair trial in a Federation court. Riker's first away mission is as part of the team to take Plure into custody [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- Another attempt is made on Kyle Riker's life on Earth by a man thought to be in a coma - Carson Cook [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- Captain Pressman responds to a report of piracy in a section of disputed space between two warring planets. Instead, ,he finds his ship caught in a potential crossfire of both sides. Omistalian ships had been cloaked and locked Pegasus in a tractor beam, demanding arms and supplies in trade for the promise of the Federation ships release and safe passage. Instead, Pressman orders the ship to self-destruct. The Omistalian ships back off and the Pegasus departs before the other planet's hostile forces come into range [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
- Vice Admiral Horace Bonner of Starfleet Command is relieved of duty and arrested on charges of conducting illegal mind-contrtol experiments on Starbase 311 and Earth. He is also charged with the attempted murder of Kyle Riker [Lost Era 5: "Deny Thy Father"].
2358
- A mutiny takes place on the U.S.S. Pegasus when Capt. Pressman tests an illegal phase cloaking device. Pressman and a few loyal officers, among them Lt. William Riker, have to leave the ship, while the Pegasus drifts into an asteroid where the cloak fails and the rest of the crew is killed [TNG: "The Pegasus"].
- A civil war breaks out among the inhabitants of the Parada system in the Gamma Quadrant [DS9: "Whispers"].
- Second 'group' of GALAXY class keels laid, completing 'Sweet Six' production run, as the original three move to finishing berths.
-The U.S.S. "Pegasus" (NCC-53847) commanded by Captain Eric Pressman is lost near the Devolin system during a mutiny regarding the captain's experimental phasing cloaking device (in violation of the Treaty of Algeron). The ship's helmsman Ensign William Riker, just seven months out of the Academy, grabs a phaser and defends the captain. The "Pegasus" is reported destroyed by a warp core breach but in reality the ship's phasing cloak operated long enough for the vessel to drift into asteroid Gamma 601 [TNG: "The Pegasus"].
- During this era, Dr. Zorka produces the first working model of a phaser attenuation lens. When he was younger, Zorka practically invented modern phasers, or at least the solid-state phase amplification [TNG 33: "Balance of Power"].
- Aboard the "Enterprise," tests continue on total warp and impulse propulsion systems. All other internal spacecraft systems are powered up, and cross-system tests continue. New flight software is installed in all three computer cores. The ejectable bridge module is docked, and the minimum flight test program crew completes the preliminary training aboard ship. The nonflight captain's yacht test article is docked. The U.S.S. "Enterprise" is launched and leaves dock on maneuvering thrusters [The Next Generation Technical Manual].
-The Romulans attack the Klingon Kapor'At Colonies, forcing the Klingons to abandon the system after a series of raids. At the height of the attacks, the Der'Nath colony puts 48 young children on a "ChunDab" class freighter bound for Kling. It never reaches its destination. Presumably crippled by Romulans, the freighter crashes on Selva [TNG 23: "War Drums"].
- Lieutenant Commander Marsha Mintaine of the U.S.S. "Valkyrie" is awarded the Star Fleet Medal of Honor for her appeasement of hill tribes on Loris VIII at the cost of considerable physical and emotional injury [FASA Roleplaying Guide, Second Edition].
-General Order 30 is issued: "Star Fleet Command recognizes the right of each ship commander to interpret the specifications of the Prime Directive as he sees fit, consistent with the conditions of other existing general orders in effect, and based on circumstances that may arise in dealing with newly discovered sentient races" [FASA Roleplaying Guide, Second Edition].
- The "Cheyenne" class exploration cruiser U.S.S. "Choctaw" (NCC-53201) is lost in action while patrolling the newly established neutral zone during the Border Wars between the U.F.P. and the Cardassian Empire. This incident will renew the Border Wars and continue it for another decade [U.S.S. Cheyenne Class Exploration Cruiser Operations Manual].
- The Vulcan archeologist T'Sara leads an excavation on Atropos to find the legendary Ko N'ya with Sorren which will last a decade [TNG Giant Novel 13: "Devil's Heart"].
- Cardassians take an interest in the strategic importance of Megara (329 Aurigae II) and hire Ferengi to begin advancing the natives as part of a long-term plan to strike back at the Federation. Within the next decade, an extensive industrial infrastructure employing slave labor will be created. Daimon Chudak finances the whole operation with 50 billion credits [TNG 30: "Debtor's Planet"].
- Ensign Eric Stiles is honored for his actions in saving the embassy staff four years earlier. Spock and McCoy accompany him to the ceremony [TNG 53: "Red Sector" - Double Helix #3].
- B'Elanna Torres is shunned by her classmates at the Terran colony on Nessik [VOY Novel: "Pathways"].
- T'Pol '8-Ball' Hunter is born in Quebec, Canada, on Terra. Her mother is T'Pol, a Vulcan, and Thomas Hunter, a Terran. She will later serve as a Science Officer on board the USS Galaxy.
- John Q. Brhode is promoted to Lieutenant, Junior Grade and transferred to the USS Albatani as a Tactical Officer. He will serve there until 2360.
- The Kerelian Civil War breaks out against those who wished for Federation entrance and those who opposed it. The war ends when Kera enters the Federation as a provisionary member.
- Lt. M'Kantu is promoted to Lieutenant Commander and transferred to the USS Valkyrie, a Constellation class starship, as its Chief Tactical Officer. He will serve on her until 2364. He is awarded the Distinguished Service Ribbon for 10 Years Service.
- Lt. Commander M'Kantu marries June Ellis, an Engineering Officer on the USS Gorkon.

- Robin Lefler's parents are posted to Starbase 179 to assist with warp engine experiments. She tours the U.S.S. Saratoga while it is docked there [New Frontier: No Limits - "Lefler's Logs" - Stardate 359487.1].
- Voss Ferris joins the Bajoran Resistance movement.

- Noted archeologist Prof. Richard Galen makes a discovery so profound that he decides to dedicate the rest of his life to further investigate it [TNG: "The Chase"].
- The civil war on Mordan IV ends [TNG: "Too Short a Season"].

TNG Episodes "Encounter at Farpoint, Parts I & II"
While en route to investigate problems on Farpoint station, the Enterprise meets the mysterious super-powered Q. Q condemns humanity and challenges them to solve the mystery at Farpoint (78 years after the Star Trek Classic movie era). This is the first 'official' contact with the Q (Some fan-fiction have speculated the 'Squire of Gothos' being was of the Q, but this has never been confirmed in any canon resource to my knowledge).
2364, February
TNG Episodes "The Naked Now", "Code of Honor", "Haven"
- The Enterprise rendezvouses with the science vessel U.S.S. Tsiolkovsky and find the entire crew dead. Unknowingly, they bring back to the Enterprise the strange infection that caused the crew of the science vessel to go crazy. The crew of the Enterprise discover that the cure found by the first Enterprise NCC-1701 for this disease does not work due to a mutation in the virus.
- The Enterprise travels to Ligon II to obtain a rare vaccine needed to avert a plague on another planet. The Logonian leader kidnaps Tasha as part of the traditions of his planet. Eventually she is forced to fight a battle to the death with the wife of the leader in order to gain her freedom and the vaccine.
- The Enterprise arrives at Haven, a paradise planet. There, Troi meets her fiancee of a pre-arranged marriage for the first time and is torn between her life in Starfleet and her devotion to her family and customs.
2364, March
TNG Episodes "Where No One Has Gone Before", "The Last Outpost"
- An engineer and his alien assistant board the Enterprise to perform an experiment that would increase warp engine output. During the experiment, something goes wrong and the Enterprise ends up in a place where thoughts become real. The assistant from a race of "travelers" with the scientific capabilities far beyond ours who tour the universe seeking those with potential. The traveler confides to Picard that Wesley is one of those beings with potential and should be guided and helped to grow. It is as a result of these comments, plus the knowledge and help that Wesley provides in Engineering that prompts Picard to make Crusher an acting ensign.
- A Ferengi vessel steals an energy unit from a Federation base and the Enterprise pursues. Both ships are rendered immobile as they pass an unknown solar system. Believing each other responsible for the immobility, they discuss surrender. Meanwhile, an Enterprise probe discovers that a force-field on the nearby planet is actually responsible and a joint expedition of Ferengi and Federation personnel, beam down to explore. They encounter a mysterious being known as Portal who presents them a test. This is the first 'official' contact made with the Ferengi at Delphi Ardu.
2364, April
TNG Episodes "Lonely Among Us", "Justice"
- While on a mission to transport emissaries of two warring races to Parliament for negotiations, the Enterprise encounters a strange cloud consisting entirely of energy. As they pass, a bolt of energy strikes Worf and passes from crewman to crewman, killing one crewman and eventually taking over Picard's mind.
- The Enterprise travels to the idyllic world of Rubicam 3, home to a race of people known as the Edo, for shore leave. Wesley falls afoul of their justice system which demands that anyone who commits a crime be executed immediately. Picard must then choose between Wesley and obeying the Prime Directive. To complicate matters, a strange alien presence surrounds the world and is worshipped by the Edo as a God. It has unlimited power and does not want Picard interfering with the Edo's laws.

TNG Episodes "The Battle", "Hide and Q"
- The Enterprise meets a Ferengi Vessel whose captain, Bok, blames Picard for the death of his son while Picard commanded the Stargazer. Bok returns the derelict Stargazer to the Federation as a gift but has secretly placed a mind altering device on board. Using this device, Bok attempts to get revenge on Picard by causing him to believe that he still commands the Stargazer and the Enterprise is the alien ship.
- Again, the control of the Enterprise is seized by the mysterious alien known as Q. This time, Q transports the entire bridge crew except Picard to a desolate planet and forces them to play a deadly game. The game's true purpose is to test Riker to see if he is worthy of receiving the power of the "Q".
2364, June
TNG Episodes "Too Short a Season", "The Big Goodbye"
- Admiral Jameson is transported by the Enterprise to Mordan IV to negotiate with terrorists who have captured the Federation ambassadors. For some reason, they will talk only with the admiral. Meanwhile, the Admiral has taken a strange drug which is causing him to age backwards.
- In a pastiche of Philip Marlowe's "The Long Goodbye" and other detective films of the 40's, Picard enters the holodeck and the fictional world of the detective, Dixon Hill. Picard becomes the investigator involved in his latest case. Meanwhile, an alien probe shakes the ship and damages the holodeck controls accidentally turning the fantasy world into a deadly trap. This episode won a Peabody award.
- Ensign D'Tinya graduates from Starfleet Academy. She is assigned to Starbase 11 in Security. She will remain here until 2368.
2364, July
TNG Episodes "Datalore", "Angel One"
- The Enterprise travels to the Omicron Theta star system, where Data was discovered years, ago in order to investigate the disappearance of a colony. In a hidden cave, they find another robot, Data's twin brother Lore, and revive him. They discover, almost too late, that Lore is a megalomaniac and out to destroy the Enterprise.
- The Enterprise travels to a planet controlled entirely by women in order to search for survivors from a Federation ship which disappeared in that sector seven years earlier. The away team is thwarted in their efforts by the female-run government. Meanwhile, a highly contagious virus plagues the Enterprise.
2364, August
TNG Episodes "11001001", "Home Soil"
- The Enterprise docks at Starbase 74 for a refit. The maintenance crew, four Binars, program the antimatter containment to fail causing the crew to evacuate the ship in a panic. Meanwhile, Picard and Riker, in a Binar-enhanced program on the holodeck, are totally unaware of the situation. After the crew, except for Riker and Picard, leave the ship, the Binars hijack it to return to their home planet to save their computers from the effects of a supernova.
- The Enterprise visits a terraforming station on Velara III where they encounter a new life form which, after being beamed up to the Enterprise for examination, attempts to take over the Enterprise.
2364, September
TNG Episodes "When the Bough Breaks", "Coming of Age"
- The Enterprise discovers the legendary planet of Aldea and the advanced civilization that lives there. The inhabitants have extraordinary technology including the ability to cloak their entire planet, but lack the capacity to have children. When the crew of the Enterprise refuse to trade some of the children from the ship for technology, the Aldeans kidnap Wesley and six other children from the ship.
- The Enterprise travels to Relva 7 where Wesley takes his entrance exams to enter Starfleet Academy. Meanwhile, an old friend of Picard's, now an admiral, arrives with an aide from the Inspector General's office to investigate the ship and its crew on the pretext that something is wrong on the Enterprise.
- Robin Lefler enters Starfleet Academy [New Frontier: No Limits - "Lefler's Logs" - Stardate 41153.7].

TNG Episodes "Heart of Glory", "The Arsenal of Freedom"
- In the Neutral Zone, the Enterprise finds a Talarian ship with three Klingons aboard. The Klingons claim to be have been passengers on the ship but turn out to be dissidents, opposed to the Federation-Klingon peace. They attempt to get Worf to help them when a Klingon cruiser enters the area and demands the return of the criminals.
- The Enterprise arrives at Minos, a planet once inhabited by weapons manufacturers who have been destroyed by their own creations. Automated salesmen and weapons display systems still function and the away team is forced to fight for their lives against weapons that keep getting more sophisticated and intelligent as time passes. Meanwhile, in orbit around the planet, Geordi in command of the Enterprise is forced to fight another weapons system with the capability to cloak itself.
2364, November
TNG Episodes "Skin of Evil", "Symbiosis"
- Amitra, a Pandrilite female, is sworn in as President of the UFP [TNG: "Articles of the Federation"].
- A shuttle containing Troi and a pilot is returning from a conference when it crash-lands on Vagra II. When the Enterprise locates the shuttle interference prevents them from using their sensors or transporters to beam up the two occupants. The away team find an alien named Armus which appears like an oil slick but is able to assume humanoid shape at will. Armus blocks their path and prevents them from rescuing their comrades. During the encounter, Armus taunts the crew as they attempt to reach the shuttle. Tasha Yar is killed.
- While investigating a sun with very strong magnetic-field fluctuations, the Enterpise intercepts a distress call and rescues a nearby freighter. Safely on board the Enterprise with their cargo, four of the inhabitants fight over ownership of the cargo - a very addictive narcotic.
2364, December
TNG Episodes "We’ll Always Have Paris", "Conspiracy", "The Neutral Zone"
- The Enterprise encounters a time loop which leads them to a scientist performing lethal time warp experiments. To close a rift to another dimension accidentally opened by the experiments, the away team must shutdown the experiment by dropping a specific amount of antimatter into the rift at a specific time. The scientist's wife turns out to be one of Picard's old lovers whom Picard failed to meet at a rendezvous in Paris 22 years ago.
- The Enterprise is diverted from a mission by a special transmission for Picard's eyes only. The message is from Keel, an old friend of Picard's who asks to meet him on a nearby mining planet. Picard beams down to find the captains of several ships waiting there. Keel and the other captains, after ascertaining Picard is who they think he is, tells him about a suspected conspiracy within Starfleet citing a strange pattern of orders from Command as evidence. They urge him to be careful. After leaving the planet, the Enterprise comes upon the debris of Keel's ship. Picard asks Data to review the last few months of orders issued by Starfleet. Data reports that there has been an unusual amount of changing of people within the command areas of Starfleet. Picard orders the ship back to Earth where they discover several admirals, including Picard's friend Quinn have been infected by parasitic creatures.
- While Picard attends an emergency conference, the Enterprise discovers a 20th Century Earth-craft with three humans aboard frozen in suspended animation. The humans are revived and have trouble acclimating to the changes in the 370 years they have been asleep. Meanwhile, Picard returns from his meeting to inform the crew that several outposts at the edge of the Neutral Zone have been destroyed and Romulans are suspected. The Enterprise has been sent to investigate. This leads to first contact with Romulans since 2311.
- Dr. Crusher leaves the Enterprise to become head of Starfleet Medical. She is replaced by Dr. Katherine Pulaski.
- The last time Captain Solok and Benjamin Sisko meet until 2375 on DS9 [DS9: "Take Me Out to the Holosuite"].
